What's the lesson?
As we are discovering, there is something to learn from every challenge that comes up in our lives, something POSITIVE!
Sometimes it is really hard to see the positives when things aren’t working, and we see the worst in the situation, and in ourselves.
We are more prone to see the negatives about ourselves, and believe them and beat ourselves up over them, rather than stepping out of the experience to see the true learnings.
Looking for the true reason why this is happening…
Perception is projection 100% of the time, whether we like it or not!
So, what is happening in our outside world is an indication of what we need to change on the INSIDE!
If someone is making us feel not good enough, it’s NOT because it’s true, it because WE don’t FEEL good enough and they are just projecting it back to us.
When WE KNOW we are good enough, they stop teaching us THAT lesson!
If people are taking us for granted, it’s NOT because it’s true, it’s because we are taking OURSELVES for granted!
When WE STOP taking ourselves for granted, they stop teaching us THAT lesson!
If people aren’t listening to us, it’s NOT because it’s true, it’s because we are not listening to OURSELVES!
When WE start LISTENING to ourselves, they stop teaching us THAT lesson!
If people aren’t respecting us, it’s NOT because it’s true, it’s because we are not respecting OURSELVES!
When WE start RESPECTING ourselves, they stop teaching us THAT lesson!
When WE learn the lesson, and change our thinking, THINGS CHANGE!
And that includes the behaviour of the people who were teaching us the negative lessons!
It’s actually fun to watch the changes in the way people treat us when we realise that we deserve better and start to expect better.
Making the changes is great but being consistent with our new thinking is extremely important, otherwise we will have other people teach us the lesson.
So, when something happens that upsets you, ask yourself:
‘What’s the lesson in this, what am I supposed to learn from this?’
And, if the answer is anything like ‘I deserve better!’ you really are heading in the right direction!!!
